Veterinarian

My love of animals started young, with a fascination for horses in particular. I grew up in the Laurentians where I often went horseback riding. The idea that we can communicate with animals through behaviour and non-verbal cues really piqued my curiosity. The ability to improve an animal’s quality of life and bring comfort when needed is partly what started me on the path to veterinary medicine. I dabbled in racehorse breeding overseas before pursuing higher education at university, first at McGill in biology, and then for my veterinary degree at the University of Montreal where I graduated in 2015. My career started with a mixed horse and small animal practice before joining the team at the Poirier O’Brien Vet Hospital in 2018.
